Minor Illness Clinic

minor_illness3The Practice has one Nurse Practitioner,  Sue Morcos.
  
Her role is full primary care to compliment the role of the GP’s.  The Nurse Practitioner has advanced skills to take a health history, examine, diagnose and treat patients.
 
If you require an urgent or same day access appointment, please ring the surgery between 8.15 am—10.30 am.
 
You may be asked to attend the surgery to see the Nurse Practitioner who works alongside the GP.  If the Nurse Practitioner feels you need to see the GP, they will arrange for you to be seen.
 
The Nurse Practitioner can see patients in the minor illness clinic for acne, asthma, acute back pain, bites, boils, non acute breathing difficulties, colds/flu, emergency contraception, menstrual problems, vomiting, testicular problems, sunburn, chicken pox, conjunctivitis, diabetes, earache/discharge, hay-fever, oedema/swollen ankles. 

The Nurse Practitioner also sees patients for :-

  • Cervial cytology
  • Pill Checks/coil fittings and ring pessaries
  • Zoladex injections
  • ECG’s and Spirometry 
  • Cryotherapy
  • Implanon
