HOW TO MAKE A ROUTINE APPOINTMENT

Contact the surgery when you wish to be seen by the GP or Nurse.  If the GP of your choice is not available you will be offered an appointment with another GP or alternatively you can sign up for Emis Access.

Emis access allows you to make an appointment with a GP over the internet.  If you are interested in this service, please ask the receptionist for details.

If the GP of your choice is working at the other surgery premises from your usual surgery, and still has available appointments on the day you request, you are welcome to see them there, provided you are happy to travel.
 
Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide range of common conditions.  You can expect to see a nurse within one week.

• If you condition is non urgent, you can expect to see a GP within one week, though you may have to wait longer if you want to see a particular GP

• Nurse Practitioner Minor Illness Clinic
• Same day access for emergencies
• Pre-bookable appointments 4 weeks in advance 

Please inform the receptionist if your call is an emergency.

Let us know if more than one person in the family needs to be seen. 

We can give you a longer appointment than normal if you so wish, for example, if you have more than one problem. 

Tell us if you want someone to accompany you during an examination or a private room to discuss any matters.

Test results can only be given to the patient.
 
SURGERY TIMES Monday to Friday 08.00 am - 6.30 pm (Monday and Thursday see below)

THE SURGERY WILL OPEN UNTIL 8.30 pm ON A MONDAY EVENING AT MOOR PARK AND ON A THURSDAY EVENING AT  GMC UNTIL 8.30 pm.

 

Home Visits

When you make a request for Doctor to visit you at home, the receptionist will ask you your details and a contact telephone number.  Your details will be passed onto the Doctor who will ring you back within an hour to speak to you about your request for a home visit and assess your problem.  If possible, try to request visits in the morning.

In some cases the doctor may be able to deal with your requests by telephone consultation or you may be asked to attend the surgery to see the GP or Nurse Practitioner.
 
If you feel that your problem could be dealt with by the Doctor or Nurse Practitioner by telephone, rather than making an appointment, ask the receptionist for a telephone consultation.  The Doctor or Nurse Practitioner will contact you within two hours to assess your problem.
